Haw Haw Haw

Ok ok ok i find myself amongst old friends but they never really were my friends because they're far too egocentric and attention seeking to really develop lives outside their own drama... Speaking of "drama", is that why they call it "scene"? Anywho, we said to ourselves... "OK DON'T TALK JUST ACT REALLY RELAXED AND NOT OVERBEARING. OK OK IT IS MY TURN TO TALK..." then i would think something intelligent but not really REALLY grasp it... Then say something like "dsfjghsttshhts you know, man?" and be in my head like "GREAT ONE CHANCE TO TALK AND YOU MUMBLED OUT SHIT. GOOD JOB DUMBASS."

The Big B '07...

"HEY! ACID! GET YOUR ACID HERE!"

"SHROOMS! HOT FRESH SHROOMS!"

and a black guy... "GET CHO CRACK HERE! CRACK! CAN'T GO TO A PARTY WITHOUT CRACK!"

"YO SHROOMS GUY! TOSS ONE OVER HERE, EH?"

It'll be great.

So Florida was exciting, not really, but relaxing... Met fun people, not to mention the Rastafarians... Haw haw haw.

Our band plays in 2 weeks. New Pornographers, Stephen Malkmus added to Pitchfork... People added to Bonnaroo as well... Lolla lineup 4/12

Well, i'm going away for a week-ish... i don't really want to go, but i'll make the best of it and have some good clean wholesome fun. i'm nervous about the flight... we all know why... But it's at Midway, not O'Hare, which makes my job a hell of a lot easier. i'll miss everyone, as i always do, but i won't miss this town. Nothing to do here but sex, drugs and rock and roll. College will probably be pretty much the same story, but at least there i will have my FREEDOM. And the freedom, to be alone with the freedom, the freedom, to be alone with the freedom, the freedom, to be alone with the freedom, well that is what i am after, my lads and lassies.

A Return to Form

It's cool, don't worry about it and i won't either...

So Saturday was Irish Day and every day is Irish Day for me but i guess saturday was special? To quote a good man, "saturday is kind of special i guess, so we should be doing more shit than we usually do". Anywho, my chillins and i didn't celebrate in the TRADITIONAL way... But we sure as hell captured the spirit of things. Cheers.

i don't remember what happened Friday night. i simply don't remember it. At all. So insert a summary of Friday night here...

Bonnaroo is coming up... *shits pants with glee*

At some point i watched Factotum, which is, for those who may not know, a fun-filled adventure for the whole family. It's about Charles Bukowski, the dirty alcoholic who wrote amazing poetry, stories and novels. Although he's categorized as a beat generation writer, most (myself included) don't really consider him as such... But that doesn't really matter. The movie was pretty darn good; Matt Dillon really captured the defeated apathy of Bukowski's character. The only problem is that Matt Dillon sounds kind of like Matt Damon. So you get confused, you know what i mean?

Sunday was a good day for a movie since it was really nice outside and i burn easily... Fuckers. So i galavanted over to the ol al cine and watched me some 300... It was quite badass. And sexy. And i cried at the end. So all in all it was a really odd film, in those respects... Since i normally hate the badass, senseless violence films ("Crank" comes to mind... And "District B13"... And a million other wasted hours...), i went into it half-heartedly... But damn... Even if you hate this kind of film or film in general, see it for the sexy Spartans, an even sexier 9 foot tall Godking Xerxes, and armless Persian whores. PS the film is already up on the internet and i am watching it right now.

Today was terrible and one realizes that genocide has gotten a bad reputation... Enough said.

Whee i'm gonna go fly a plane because i skipped out on my family for 20 years and now they don't like me!! Whee!!

"Punch"... yeah we used to play that game... Hodge is a total... Well, aren't we all?

All Good Things

Daylight Savings Time is like time travel, only it sucks.

Staggering around each night, i feel sad but i am being pushed by the alien chemicals in my brain, they don't wipe my memory clean but they push it into the background, i can physically feel all of this and it's not a good feeling. Ever do something that you can generally rely on for good vibrations, then just turn off all the lights in your house and cry into an unfamiliar chair? That's my weekend, chillins.

Kirsten, know that i will ALWAYS love you. You can't do anything to make me not love you. i've said this before, i must confess, but i still mean it to everyone i have ever said it to. My heart has a cozy little space reserved entirely for you; don't forget about it.
